Ruth Long was still living in 1985 On her 90th birthday whe flew to Scotland with her dau., Mary Louise, Ruth hadn't flown since she flew with Charles Linbergh, who learned to fly in Lincoln, Nebraska.

174. Stella May WEIR

Mr. & Mrs. John Watts of 826 Sanwood Drive will mark 70 years of marriage at a special celebration in their honor during services Saturday in the Seventh-day Adventist Tabernacle.
Watts and the former Stella Weir, both from Illinois, were married March 15, 1913, in Marshall, Ill.
At the time of their marriage he was employed by the Wabash rail-road as a telegrapher, They later resided in Pueblo, Colo., and in Chicago, where he was assistant secretary treasurer for the Book and Bible House, and in Trenton, N. J. where he managed Bible House.
The couple moved to Battle Creek in 1927 and for a time he was employed by the Army Quartermaster Corps at Fort Custer. He also operated a radio and television repair business as a hobby, and retired from the former Battle Creek Sanitarium after 23 years of service.
Mrs. Watts, who also was employed by the Sanitarium for several years, enjoys flower gardening, reading and cooking.
Mr. and Mrs. Watts are members of the Seventh-day Adventist Taabernacle.
They have a son, Lee Watts of Battle Creek four grandchildren. and three great-grandchildren..
